I have seen one guy that wreched his 04 F-150 and sucefully swaped in the 5.4 auto tranny and transfer case in to a 78 or 79 Bronco, but don't remember the link.

http://home.comcast.net/~qcrispin/bronco/ is the link. I would not waste your time with the 4.6. I have a 99 Exp. with the 4.6 and it just is not a truck motor. 5.4 at minimum, V-10 would be better:>)
