OIl leaker Question Help

I pulled off my Y pipe to remove the turbo thinking the leak was o-rings or the arm thing area but I found no oil coming out, on or around the turbo. I havent removed it yet but in feeling around and under ect I get no oil on my hand, before tearing down I did not clean it up first but the turbo area is clean and oil free unless it is runing down somewhere That I cant see or feel. Could it be in the front of the valley? What do I look for? Thanks For the help Randy in Kansas City

Could this be from the crank case vent? Im learning there is a CCV mod to keep oil residue building up on the driverside below the air intake hose. There are a few other posts about it on this page which have some good info on it Hope it helps

I was just looking more and it looks like one of the two oil lines that go from the thing on the front top of the motor right in front of the fuel filter (oil Pump?) the 2 lines are coming out of the drivers side.

I think it is one of the hpop lines leaking. Can the o-rings be replaces in the lines or do you have to replace the whole line, does it take a special tool? After replacing the line is air in the line a problem or will it take care of it self? Thanks

That is the high pressure oil pump. The lines do require a special tool to seperate from the fittings, but once removed the fittings can be unthreaded from the pump to replace those o-rings. If the line itself is leaking you should replace it.

The high pressure reservoir will need to be refilled after the repair is completed. After that it will just need to be cranked until the air is purged. Normally doesn't take too long, but if it doesn't light off quickly limit your starter duty cycle to 20 second intervals. Give it plenty of time to cool off between start attempts.
