Battery Issue

Here's one for everybody to ponder on. I've been noticing a lot of crud building up on my battery terminals. It's the bright green, powder stuff. I have the felt pads under the terminal connections. I figured no big deal on the green stuff, I just brush it off when I am under the hood. Well, today I noticed the top of the battery case has bright yellow crud. Not really sure what it is. Is this the battery's way of saying its gonna go soon? I've had the vehicle 3 years (same battery) and never have had any problems with starting. Just curious to see if I need to be in the market for a replacement or if anybody knows what this stuff is. Thanks.

It is corrosion. My battery did this for a year or so, than I killed it and it would drag the starter after that so I replaced it and am yet to see any corrosion. I would say that a safe bet would be to go ahead and replace it.
