try the 385 series forum. but it should be around 10BTDC but you need a timing light to be sure.

i have a timinglight but i can not find the timing in the shopmanual.

Look at the 2nd from the bottom listing on this page for 8-97-RO

It should be close for a 49 state truck.
Don't foget to remove the hose to the dizzy and then plug the hose
