Bottom End
) I was planning on doing both the top end and bottom, new pistons, rings, rods, bearings etc while I had it out of the truck, and in my searches hadn't noticed anyone talking of replacing the harmonic balancer. Did I miss something? Should I worry about replacing it? I would like to keep a nice smooth idle. Does anyone make a balancer for the 300 specifically? Anyone else replace their and have a success/horror story? Someone help me!!
(the truck is in an '83 f-150 with a four speed and four wheel drive, edelbrock intake, carter 4BBL and Hedman headers are waiting to go on with the rebuild)
Yes, you did miss the fact that when J.M.S. Racing Engine's Built my 300+c.i.er that the H.B. was replaced w/ a Brand New Performance one from Doug Fisher International.
