The axles should have 75/140 weight gear oil in them.And the axles uses several pints each. If you have limited slip differentials--you will need 4 ozs of the special LS oil. And the transfer case uses about 3 pints of ATF. I dont remember exactly how much the transfer case and axles uses--but your owners manual will tell you. I have the capacities that the truck used when I changed the fluids under the hood--but it is cold out there now. If noone else answers--I will check and add this information to this thread.
Just fill the transfer case and axles up to the fill hole until it runs out--when the truck is level . But before draining the ATF already in the transfer case--make sure that the fill plug can be removed first--it is a problem if the ATF is drained--and then you find out that the fill plug is seized or stripped.
