Block Heater

I have never really had a problem with this but the weather has hit hard here in fort collins and my truck does not like the cold start very well and takes a good 15 minutes to warm up. Has anyone installed a block heater on their 5.4's?

I know they work well with diesels cause i used to own one and didnt think I would need one with a gasser.

A remote starter might be another way to deal with the warmup issue. More expensive, but no electrical cords to fuss with.

I live in Pa. but the truck was originally bought in Wisconsin and it has a factory installed Block Heater. I've used it a couple of times and it works pretty well.

Same here...I live in Indiana bought my 02 FX4 5.4L used, I think my truck was from up North also, but mine has a block heater also and it works great!
