Smile Nice place you have here...

I'm new. I just traded a 1989 XLT BB in on a 1996 XLT, both daily drivers and not modified much. I arrived here looking for information on how the OEM auto locking hubs work (mine didn't). Thanks to all... I installed some Warn Premium.

I'm currently looking for information on moving the driver's seat back. I could swear they moved the seats forward from where they were on the '89 (although this might fall in the same category as believing belts and the date windows on watches are shrinking). I'm 6'5" and the '89 was borderline for legroom for me, so I need to get a couple more inches to be happy.

The seats in the '96 are cloth buckets, lumbar adjustment but no power. My current plan is to fabricate some steel bars to bolt between the seat and the stock frame to shift the seat back. If anyone has experience with this I'd be grateful for advice.

Thanks, Chance
