I think you would be aware of any major damage about 5 minutes before you called for road service! Apparantly she didn't make any turns tight enough to stress the drivetrain.
It is possible that some of the components were damaged (cracked) but have not failed (yet). The only think I can think of to do would be to pull the differential covers and carefully inspect the gear teeth. Replace the fluids and check for metal shavings maybe.
Good luck
If she drove in 4lo for 300 miles that thing would have overheated screaming at those rpms.I think it could do it if it was 4hi.How did she maintain the speed limit.
But any way.Change the transfercase fluid also.
Maybe you got luck and the front hubs didn't lock in.if they did lock in I'd take the hubs apart and clean and grease them.

How fast was she driving? You can't get over 30 or so MPH in 4wd low. It may have never shifted into low range if she just threw the switch. They are kind of hard to put into 4wd low (shift into neutral, foot on brakes and at a dead stop). It sure won't hurt to change fluids and regrease everything but it may not have ever gone into low range.

Ask her to be sure, but I'm guessing she was driving when she switched to 4lo (the beneift of shift on the fly - you don't have to stop moving). However, you do need to stop and shift to neutral to get to 4lo, so if she switched while driving, I think it would just go into 4hi. Provided she didn't make any sharp turns during the 300 miles, shouldn't be any damage. Even with sharp turns, she would know it when the truck started hopping and jerking.
Ask if she saw the bright orange-ish light on the dash that said "low range" to the left of the 4x4 light - I'm guessing it wasn't there.
