I guess so. I am used to UBB coding on other message boards so the HTML here was a little different. I will post a link for my truck when I get some pictures of it.
Wow,
Very nice car and very collectable. 95 was the last year for the 5.0L in the Mustang and there were not very many coupes with the Boss package, let alone the number of convertibles. I was sure that when I joined this site I would find other Mustang owners. Thanks for sharing the picture.
this is my car not as nice as your or my wifes but then it's not silver and black(yet) I really like that combo, her car had 47800 miles on it when she got it and we paid $13,800.00 for it it came with everything but leather int. I would rather have cloth anyway, stays nicer longer.mine was a wreck the whole nose was trash this picture is after two long years of rebuilding .After it was wrecked it sat for fifteen years it has a 289 auto. four barrel and duels 225 hp but I love my ford cars and trucks. John
What color of silver will you be using. The 66 I had (sniff, I had to sell it last month), was Silver Frost metallic, with a black vinyl top. But somebody in their infinite wisdom decided to paint it red. I think there are entirely too many red mustangs running around. Don't you? I got confused with a whole bunch of people. Especially when I got pulled over by a deputy constable one afternoon several years back. But he just looked at my inspection sticker, and said "oops, I guess I read your sticker wrong, sorry about that".
That's why it's getting painted there are waaaaaay to many red ones I'm going topaint it the same color as my wifes, OPAL FROST that is a wild color it flips to purple when the sun hits it.
When that is done then I can start on the 40 pickup.
JOHN
Well the few silver frost cars, that I have seen also do that. But they only change from light silver, to dark silver, to almost white. Given the angle you are at, and the angle of the light.
Have you ever seen any of these cars painted that color. If not I can email you a couple of pictures tomorrow, that I took at the Autorama here in Houston a couple of years back
LAST EDITED ON 21-Dec-00 AT 05:04 PM (EST)[p]I am partial to silver as well. I have been doing research and my car is 1 of 90 produced in Silver with Black interior. How many of those are 5 speeds with sunroof is unknown at this point. I am going to figure the car is about 1 of 35. This is particularly unique because Ford did not produce Silver on any of the 87-92 Mustangs and 93 was the last year for the fox body.
I have to agree about the number of red Mustangs around. Don't get me wrong, I love the color but I think that a Mustang looks good in just about any color. (ok maybe not the Mary Kay pink on some of the Mustang II's).
I manage the inventory for the dealership where I work and we always have plenty of Silver in all our model lines.
spectre,
Very nice convertible. We have one at the dealership that is exactly like that one, laser red with tan interior. Is the top tan also? Is it auto or 5 speed?
Spectre, tell your wife my wife is always up for a race, the only thing that ever beat her was another mustang (fox body) and not stock she trounced on it and went up in smoke and lost. but at least it was another ford!!! John
The color I am talking about was only used on the Mustangs for 1966 and 1967. Then they came back out with it in 94 (?) I believe. And it is indeed Silver Frost. I have one of the original Color Chip sheets from the 66 Ford Color books.
Scott, silver is the only way to go!!!! I like the new reds like spectres that laser red, But I was talking about the red on my 67 almost all of the older mustangs around are red!!! it's almost like ford only produced red mustangs in the sixtys. mine was originally lime gold with ivy gold int.eeeeewwwwww!!!!! and there are to many reds and one turquoise right down the street from me so it has to be silver.
