OK.....i can press the clutch pedal to the floor.....no resistance and extremly hard to shift. sometimes grinds a little when i do manage to get it to shift. Does it sound like my clutch has finaly died?..its 2 degrees here and its almost 2am....so i really wasnt fond of the idea of climbing under it right now to have a look at anything.
102k miles on all of it...i just check the master and its empty...cant see where any fluid might have run to anywhere.....is it possible since its been no more than 10 degrees the past few days that it might just be froze and stuck?....or do we think it sprung a leak and drained?
up here ive seen a few slaves , that when it gets cold and the rubber cups in them are marginal , or 'high milage' , they shrink ,and allow fliud to leak out . I just did one that did it in a dodge school bus with hydro clutch, couldnt see where it was leaking and when i filled it and blead it worked fine for about three days. The only fix is to put a kit in the slave cylinder, which not only improved the 'feel of the clutch , but hasnt 'leaked' since, Bob
i'm thinking thats what it is....since its now 14 degrees....up from 3 this morning and theres snow on the ground i'm gona have it taken to a shop since i currently dont have anywhere to work on it where its warm.
