Fuel heater short
I believe I have a shorted fuel heater. Can it be replaced, or does the whole filter water seperator need to be replaced? I live in a very cold climate and run winterized mix, can I just disconnect it and run without? I believe it is the connection midway down the filter unit with the red wire and green stripe? The connection below it would be the water separator sensor then? Any input would be helpful...

Thanks for the responce. The truck is running well without it. I cannot find a blowup of the filter/heater/waterseparator. Does the heater element just screw in from the inside of the unit? How difficult is it to replace? Can I get away without the heater using winter mix at -35 F? The truck only sit outside during work hours and when it is this cold I do plug it in all day on the job site.
