hi-boy or low-boy
I was wondering if someone could tell me if my '77 1/2 F-250 4x4 is a high-boy or a low-boy. When my dad first recieved it from the factory, he made the dealer put the leaf springs from the '77 model on because he said they were a better design. He was able to put 36" tires on it from the factory. I belive that it would be considered a high-boy but I just wanted some clarification. I am thinking of puting a 6" suspension lift on. Would this be enough for 38.5 super swampers?? Thanks for all the help.

If your xfer case is bolted to the back of tranny -----It ain't no hiboy , if the xfer case is situated behind and on the left side of the frame it's a hiboy-----It really doesn't make any difference it's still a ford ---right-----so drive and enjoy , fd

quick way to tell.....if its got an M/400...its not a
hiboy....but the others arn't "lowboys" they are just 3/4, 1 ton 4x4's
there are various differences between hiboy and other...i could never remember them all....but i just go by...76and down is hi and 77up isnt
