I have a '64 that I am trying to get ALL the lights working ( amoung other things!).
Here is what IS working;
Headlights hi and lo
parking lights front and rear
right turn signal front and rear
Here is what is NOT working;
left turn signal front or rear no light at all (new flasher makes noise)
brake lights no light at all (New sender no improvement)
Ground is my guess grab a dummy light and see if you can find power at the line by cvreating your own ground near the light at each end.. it it works try tracing the lines to find a break,kink, etc.. or maybe just re-run wires on that side.
Check the grounds first!!! Then I would see if two wires from the stop light switch(sls) behave normally at the sls. There should be power at one terminal whenever the key is on and only power at the other when the pedal is depressed. If that passes then check connections where the wires go up the steering column and also where they return down the column. The brake lights work thru the turn signal switch so that is a possibilty also.
When both signals on one side do not work that is likely the turn signal switch, the wires separate inside the switch and go front and rear on a separate circuit.
Ditto on the above. Trace the wires to light, there are places were they plug together. One of those plugs was the cause of a problem I chased for days.
