What is the recommended temp for a 91 4.0? I need to get a new thrmo, and want to make sure I get the right one - 180 or 192?
Since location could make a difference, I'm located at the base of the TX panhandle. We average 0-20 winters, and +100 summers...

the air/fuel parameter tables in PCM are set up for 195d F thermostat. recommend Motorcraft or Stant Premium stainless steel for long life and less chance of engine overheating damage from failed thermo.
force more air thru radiator or limit air flow in with air temperature extremes.
