Go to the service department at your local Ford dealer and ask someone there to run an oasis report on it. They may, they may not. If not, try another one until someone does it for you.
Some folks on here can do it for you as well but it may take a day or two to get a reply as chacnes are they won't have ready access to the system and they would of course being doing this for you out as a favor. It will tell you everything that a Ford Dealer has done to it. Car Fax is a good way to go as well. Spend the moeny on the 30 day plan incase this truck doesn't work out so you can check others. It will provide you with some of the title history and will help check against a flood or salvage vehicle.
I've never heard of this oasis report. I do have a couple Ford Dealership contacts however. I'll call and ask about it tomorrow. I'm not really looking to buy a truck right now (just kind of stumbled onto this one) so I'm not sure I want to spend the few buck that CarFax costs just to run one truck. Like I said, it looks very nice, well kept and has about the right mileage for the year but it does need tires. The price is very good and they have had it for a while and really want to move it.
I'll see what I can find out tomorrow from my contacts.
If anyone reads this that has a current CarFax account and are interested in running it for me let me know and I'll send you the Vin #.
Judging by the # of posts I'd say you probably hang around on the site somewhat infrequently. Asking for the Oasis report on here isn't a problem since it's free if you can get someone to run it for you. Asking for help running a Carfax report to avoid paying for it will get probably get one of the moderators attention.
So, after paying for the CarFax like I should have...I find that the truck has had an accident with frame damage and repair. I guess it was well worth it after all. And now I have 30 days to check out some other vin #s too. I have already found another F250 and so far so good. Going to test drive it tomorrow afternoon if all this snow lets up.

funny how that works out sometimes. Glad you caught it in time. BTW, I wouldn't let that necessarily dissaude you from buying that truck. If you still like it, I would use it as an opportunity to drop the cost of the truck significantly and get an extended warranty. That said, do what you are comfortable doing. If you don't feel comfortable taking a chance on that one, there are pleny of others out there. Good luck.
