Fuel Filter Removal

Okay, how do I get the hoses off my filter? I bought a tool from Autozone and it doesn't have a small enough end for one of the hoses. If I get one small enough, what the trick? Just push it up inside and pull the hose off? I guess you have to remove the filter out of its holder to insert the tool in the big hose?

It's a PITA to get it off. I unbolted the filter support bracket from the frame & then you can move it around enough to get the release tool into the hose fitting. I cut off the front part of filter support bracket to make it easier next time.

just break off the metal part sticking out of the filter canister. then you can move line down.
