transfer case grind
when i have my truck in 4 wheel drive it seems to make a grinding noise when you just touch the gas. it goes away if you either press the gas more or let off i dont know exactly what kind of transfer case it is but its on a c-6 in a 79 ford f150 and the truck has a 6 inch lift in it. thank you for your input.

Are you sure it is the transfer case? had a buddy once with similar problem and turned out to be bad ujoints in front drive shaft.try checking the fluid levels in the transfer case and the frt end who knows may be something as simple as that
