'80 Granada Six size?

Recently acquired a '77 F-150 with a 6cyl out of a '80 Granada. What size is this motor? It runs great, but the truck doesn't have a drive shaft in it so I don't know how well it will pull the fullsize rig!

Is it a 240, 250, 200 CID? I'm just wondered? Thanks.

Well from what I can find, it's either a 3.3L or 4.1L.

'Ford Granada Parts

The Ford Granada was a famous car manufactured and sold by Ford in Europe. It was sold in the whole of Europe from 1972 to 1984 and exclusively in Germany from 1985 to 1994. A few, however, knows that a car with the same name was sold by Ford in North America for a short period of time.

The North American Ford Granada was introduced by Ford in 1975. Although it bears the same name as the popular European car, the American Ford Granada was an entirely different car. It was introduced together with a luxury trim version called the Mercury Monarch.

The Ford Granada and the Mercury Monarch were based on the design of the Ford Maverick/Mercury Comet pair which was sold by Ford from 1969 to 1977. The two cars were actually aimed to replace the Maverick/Comet pair but ended up being sold alongside them due to high sales of the latter pair.

From 1980 until it was last manufactured in 1982, the Ford Granada nameplate was used to name rebadged Ford Fairmont models. This new generation of the Ford Granada was not as popular as the first generation, leading to its downfall. It was eventually replaced by a downsized Ford LTD, which was also based on the Ford Fairmont.

In its entire production history, the Ford Granada and twin Mercury Monarch were available with four engine options. These include a 3.3 liter 6-cylinder engine, a 4.1 liter 6-cylinder engine, a 5.0 liter V8 engine and a 5.8 liter V8 engine. Horsepower ratings for these engines start from 72 hp for the base to 152 hp for the most powerful ones.

Not that popular in North America, and having been last manufactured in 1982, you won’t expect a lot of Ford Granada parts to be available today. Driving a Ford Granada today would be almost impossible if there are no Ford Granada auto parts dealers like Parts Train. Here at Parts Train, we maintain a complete and comprehensive catalog of parts where you can find the Ford Granada replacement and restoration parts you would need to restore your old Ford Granada. Parts here are guaranteed premium in quality and finest in performance.'

thart was waaaayyyyy more than i ever wanted to know about granadas.

my brother had one and it was junk when it was new and it was junk when he sold it.

i remember they compared the ride, when blindfolded, to a mercedes! well, i had a mercedes 250 coupe at that time and sir, that granada was no mercedes.

thanks for the info though, it reminded me of how bad ford cars were in the late 70's and early 80's.
