Tach Not Reading Correctly!
Got in my truck this morning and let it warm up for about 3-4 minutes (Maybe 25-30 degrees out) and when I got to the interstate(4-5 miles) truck had warmed up but my tach was only reading 500-750 rpm's. This is at 65-70 mph. Any ideas on what this was all about. Shut the truck off about 40 miles up the road and when I restarted it, everything was fine. What would cause this?

Now that's one I haven't seen here before.
Others will join in, because I know nothing, but sounds like a 'computer glitch' (computer glitches I DO know something about, although I deal in mainframe computers, not the automobile type).
Back when I started driving, and by necessity, working on cars, if it had fuel, spark and combustion, it ought to run. That's certainly changed. (and btw, it wasn't THAT long ago I started driving :-) It's difficult, if not impossible, to diagnose problems without computers. And most of us don't have them, don't want them, or can't afford them.
My only suggestion would be if it happens again, take it back to your dealer.
