Jeep used about 20 different models of T-18. Some have different spline counts, different input shaft lengths, diameters, etc. You are MUCH better off getting a Ford T-18 to bolt to a Ford motor.
Also, all Ford trucks ever made are driver's side front differential. There are about 6 or 7 different transfer cases available. NP203, NP205, NP208, BW1345, BW1456, etc. Manual, electric, full time, part time, you have your pick. But they all face the same direction.
Thanks for the info guys. I found out from the full size jeep board that I can use my T18 if it has the 6.25 inch input shaft along with a Ford T18 Bellhousing drilled out to fit the bolt pattern of the Jeep T18. I guess there is only 1 or 2 bolt holes that don't line up. And there is a special pilot bushing I need since the Jeep input shaft is slightly smaller in diameter than the Ford. Hopefully this info is correct so I can keep my transfercase, driveshafts, and front axle the way they are. Now, who has a bellhousing they want to sell me?
I have a bell housing from an 87 F250 that had a 460 and a T-19 transmission. Although I think the T-19 and the T-18 are very similar, I do not know for sure if the bell housing is the same. If you check around and find out you can use it, let me know. I also have the flywheel and clutch from that setup. I bought the truck knowing it needed a clutch. I put a new clutch in it and about 10,000 miles later, I decided to install a ZF 5 speed. The ZF required a different clutch because the input shaft was bigger and the clutch required a different flywheel because the bolt pattern was different. If your interested, let me know.
