Oil Change Message

Does anyone know how to reset the oil change message on a 2005 Explorer.

On my Chevy truck I just press the gas 5 times with the key on and the engine off and it resets.

I have tried this, no luck, pushed reset on the information panel, no luck.

Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure, but have you tried to push, and hold, reset for about 5 seconds?

Isn't there some mention of this in the owner's manual??

Yes.... and I believe that's what it said to do....press reset for 5secs or so...

OR, toggle thru the set-up menu, and SOMEWHERE in there is has a "Press Reset at Oil Change" function.

One or both of those work....

Kraut is correct, it does show in owners manual. You have to toggle through setup menu to find "Reset Oil" then hold reset button for a designated period of time to reset.
