ok in the morning when I leave the house .... I get this awful SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH sound coming from the turbo I believe .... I let it warm up for like 5-7 mins before I leave .... and it will take like 4-5 miles of driving for it to go away .... the noise does go away if I floor it, but if I gradually climb up in the rpm it will not make any boost until 2500 rpms or so. once its really warmed up everything becomes normal
I hear that noise when I let it idle when I first start it .... but it just started doing it when I drive ..... I have had it for a year and all of a sudden it does when I drive
LOL, it is funny how many different ways members can describe this sound. The colder it gets, the more you will notice it. It will stay on while you drive until all fluids reach certain temps. It should go off if you mash it but at light throttle, it will stay on. Helps warm-up a lot. I have a straight pipe exhaust and the sound is like a jet getting ready for takeoff. People stare at it like my truck is going to blow up.
with it being colder and the ebpv staying on longer, it can get annoying while driving. If it really bothers you, you can unplug the connector. It is located here:

Also funny how many times this question gets asked when it's starting to get cold around. It's like a seasonal thing on all the boards and web sites. jdmef9 don't worry you are not along on this.
if it never stops making the noise no matter how long you drive th truck your turbo pedistal ma need replaced or the line going to your ebps may be clogged.
