I was at the boneyard today and found a 76 grille for my rig. I am going back tomorrow to pull it off and am thinking about pulling the round headlight buckets too if they are not rusted out. If I am not able to get these, can I use the ones from a 78? All the catalogs I have do not have 73-77, only 78.
Will they work with this grille. I have two core supports from a 79 and know that I'll have to drill two holes.
Only Custom Trim Trucks came with round headlights.which are the same as 73-78 trucks.
All other trim lines from 78/79 had rectangular headlights.
If you chose these instead you would have to change the grill surround and grill as well.
that whole square vs rectangular thing really bugs you dont it? but honestly i think we all know what he means i'll get off my soap box i have a 400m to work on
In my gallery I have a '76 F250 Ranger that someone put a '78 grille with round headlights on. I don't care for the one piece grille. I have another grille from a '77 F150 that will give it it's original look. Hopefully this spring. It's too cold to do it now.
