Question Newbie from Washington

Howdy,

I have a 2005 F350 crew cab diesel and love it. My only gripe is that the electrically heated seats only have one heat - full blast ! Has anyone investigated replacing the seat heat switch with some type of variable heat switch (even a high/low would be better?

The local Ford dealer said they know of no solution to my question.

Regards,

Fred Hardy

Hi Fred!

I don't know how the new models are wired in terms of the seat heaters but I'm in the process of wiring in the seat heaters I just installed from a 99 Explorer. I'm going to play around with it and see if I can get a rheostat wired in there to adjust the temp. I'll let you know what I find out in the next couple weeks here.

If you get a chance come and join us in the NW Chapter: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/f...splay.php?f=89

Where in Washington are you?
