85 Bronco Steering Wheel Tilt problem
I have an 85 Fullsize Bronco and am having trouble with the steering wheel tilt. The tilt has gone out and prevents locking the steering wheel into one place, the wheel is loose and quite difficult to drive. Curious to know if anyone has had this problem, knows the remedy, or what it would take ($$) to fix. Thanks in advance for any help provided.

Yea, my 80 Bronco's tilt was like that after I ran over a little old man in a Escort, the body shop said it would not evan try to fix, said it was a Very big PITA, so put in a column fromm the bone yard and rekeyed the ignition to match the doors. I don't know if that is much help.

Spring has brought me such a nice surprise
It's not really difficult to pull the wheel and look. I was just removing my steering wheel lock the other day and figured out why my tilt didn't work. Either your spring is broken or missing, or the assembly could have come loose. There's really no substitute for pulling it and looking.
