If you are even more determined, you could weld it to some solid metallic object, chain it down, remove the wheels, and pull the battery out of the car.

Then again, doing that every time you stop somewhere would become a bit of a PITA.

Many years ago I helped recover a stolen 98 point show GT 350 Mustang with a forklift, wood beams and slats to prevent any under carriage damage. Yes any vehicle can be stolen these days with a rolloff, a competent crew and some time.
