I thought that I might be able to pick up a few horses with a new intake for my 1993 2.3l 4banger. I found an ASMI system on ebay for 120.00. Has anyone used a ASMI one before? It's much cheaper than the 249.00 units I see at the auto parts stores.
I couldn't get the link to work, but it is item number 8018861548 at http://www.ebay.com
(just paste the number into the search box)
The price looks good and am considering it if anyone can drop some positve feedback. Is this better than doing the shopvac hose and duck tape homebrew jobbie???

Reason: link not working
CAI'S are not worth the money.they did a comparison somewhere and said you would be better off just dropping in a K&N.I had one on a 02 GT,that was supposed to give me 16.9 more horses to the wheels.but it didnt feel like it..
I put one of the K & N FPIK kits on my 2002 3.0 Very little diff. I would guess MAYBE 2-3 hp. That's a 2% increase, maybe. Not the 6-7% (9.4 hp) increase they claim in their advertising. Not very much bang for the buck.
