Does anyone install a nu-image silver gauges for a ford lighting in a 96 bronco because the model for the bronco stop at 80 mph and my bronco stop at 120 mph.
Is your Bronco a '96? Even if it is, I don't think the spacing would be even... i.e. more miles an hour in same space = fewer degrees between each mile an hour mark. So basically you'd be going 55 when your guages read 75 or something to that effect.
Hi !
I have a 96 Bronco with 37 inch tire and i install a set of these faces gauges and the speedo are correct with my tire. I don t have to recalebrate it with my 37 inch tires.
Nu-Image are just face plates, so no you can't do it directly.
Aftermarket speedos reading off stock vehicle speed sensors with different tire sizes than stock will show incorrect, period. It didn't just magically work. Same with cable driven speedos.
If your speedo was an 80 mph version you need an 80 mph face plate.
My speedo on my 94 was about 10 per cent low. There is a way to recalibrate it by using the jumper underneath the glove compartment. Mine is dead on now. Be carefull because it can only be changed six times over the life of the vehicle. I drove 60mph down the interstate for about 5 miles and timed it very carefully then recalibrated in my driveway. Do a search fro details.
