I don't see why not. I would recommend some method of reminding yourself that it's plugged in though. My favorite is draping the extension cord over the driver's side mirror.
Common practice up here, just remember to unplug it before you drive away!!
My wife has an Arctic Leash on her Pacifica and the few times she's forgotten to unplug it before driving away, the Arctic Leash recoiled it up behind the grill...not advised, but kinda cool.
