I have a 97 sport; I also have had a DEI (Viper 550e) car starter/alarm since 1999, a must for an outside vehicle in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Minnesota. I have recently been getting false alarms, door pin triggers to be exact. Two different shops have tested and looked at my alarm system; they say it is working fine. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
OK today (a frosty 6 degrees) I looked out the window to hit the car starter and I could see my interior lights were on. Hmmm, I looked closer and my door locks were also open. This is most defiantly giving me the false alarms with my alarm system when ever it is armed. Any ideas? I know the lights were off last night when I locked it. Also when I hit the Ford key fob to lock the doors, the lights went off.
Door sensors?
A module?
Any ideas, any one. I have not been getting the door ajar light.
