I currently have Goodyear Wrangler RT/S that performed OK but are worn. I do like the look of big rims and low profile tires, but we use our Expy to get back and forth to the ski slopes so those are out. Staying with stock rims EB chrome which are 17" and stock tire size P265/70R17 and probably more torwards ultimate snow traction. I am a little hesitant to Blizzarks and such because I will run all year and wear will be an issue. I know I want it all but will figure out a compromise. Most dedicated snows are black wall and not sure how that would look.
If you are using stock type tires (ie no low profile) and the vehicle is darker in color, I vote white lettering. If you have a lighter color vehicle, I vote black. I feel that the color of the vehicle has a lot to do with it.
Black...for that utilitarian look. No soccer mom/ grocery getter white walls! Even the wife agrees on this one. Plus, you don't have to worry about keeping the white walls white.
I like the white lettering. Having a big truck with white letter tyres was always appealing to me before i used to own one. It just seems more BADASS that way.

Went with Cooper ATR's and white letters out, Its an eddie Buarer Estate green which is kind of dark. The tire guy was cool and did one black wall out for me to decide. The blackwall out looked to dark wiyh the wheel well and green, white out looked better to me, and yes he did switch that one back to white out. The best part was my wife drove the truck and noticed how much better the ride was. The old tires were worn and at least one out of balance.
Good choice! I was thinking about replacing my practically 8 year old tires with those. Keep us updated about how they were and how they are in the snow.
