What oil do you run in a 69 NP435, 80-90 or 80-140?

I run 80-90 in mine. On cold days it's a little stiff until it warms up. I believe that 50w is what's called for in the manual.

Where do you live Aaron? That would be my deciding factor. If its a cold climate place that regularly sees real cold temps in the winter I would go with the 50w or a synthetic gear oil. If you live in an area that rarely sees below freezing and its over 80 or 90 in the summer I would run the heaviest gear oil known to man! The Synthetics are the best in my opinion. They cover a wider temp range than any of the regular oils, even in the extreme climates.
