Went out to start the truck last night cranked a few times before I remembered to flip the kill switch. Flipped the switch, it cranked a couple times normally, then nothing. No lights, no click, nothing. The kill switch is wired into the positive coil wire. I went out this morning and it just clicked like the battery was dead. Battery is fine. Is my solenoid shot? How do I test it with a multi meter.
Thanks
Aaron
Until you buy a remote starter for $10-12.
Try the pair of pliers trick.
Battery side of solenoid to starter side of solenoid.
* NOTE : Watch for sparks !

If you don't have any lights, or anything else (radio etc.), it might be the battery, loose or corroded battery cables, bad ground connection from the negative battery cable to the block, or a bad connection on the large terminal on the starter solenoid.
