all out. 300 ft of white outline lights for yard. 200 ft of red landscape border lights, icycles and red c7's all along the roof line of the house. 6 trees get green on the trunks up to 10 ft. One tree gets the white christmas tree decoration with ornaments and other type of lights, merry christmas sign in the front yard with candy canes on outside, six deer, lighted wreath and window lights.
Lots and lots of electricity. Blow a breaker or two every evening.
Christmas spirit has changed. Lights or no lights? Whats it matter? All up to your taste.
I just think its sad how some dont want to hear Christmas! Tuff I say Merry Christmas To All!
While we are here, have we gotten to lazy to put Christ back in Christmas? Worst abbreviation I've ever seen is the xmas! It's Christmas!
Merry Christmas, dks
From Dictionary.com:
From X, the Greek letter chi, first letter of Greek Khrstos, Christ. See Christ.]
Usage Note: Xmas has been used for hundreds of years in religious writing, where the X represents a Greek chi, the first letter of, “Christ.” In this use it is parallel to other forms like Xtian, “Christian.” But people unaware of the Greek origin of this X often mistakenly interpret Xmas as an informal shortening pronounced (ksms). Many therefore frown upon the term Xmas because it seems to them a commercial convenience that omits Christ from Christmas.
I do, however, think it is used as an informal way of abreviating Christmas by people who don't know this.

Yes, that is usually me too!!! It has gotten to the point we haven't put any up for a couple of years. We do have a tree though
I like looking at Christmas lights, and I like the displays the neighbors put up. I'm starting to lean toward the more traditional look for our house, though.
Garlands of evergreen around the top of the porch, a wreath with red ribbon on each post on the porch, a wreath on the front door, and a Moravian star hanging from the porch light. Hang an old flexible flyer sled on the porch wall, with a pair of ice skates hung over it and a big red ribbon. Put out a spotlight pointed at the sled, and we're good to go.
I like those houses where they put a really nice wreath on the front door, "candle" type lights in every window and a spotlight to light up the front of the house. Kind of old fashioned, I guess.
