i'd let the guy doing your heads get the right springs for you, he may have to work the spring seats and/or change the retainers for clearance due to the added lift of the cam. the 268H is a "done deal" in a Cleveland, but the M/400 heads are different. stock 4V springs should be OK if they check out pressure-wise but springs do crap out, they aren't an item that usually gets re-used from one engine to the next, unless they check out OK! what is the casting number on your heads? (year) 1975 and later M/400 heads are different in the exhaust port than 1974 and earlier.
I would take Torque1st's advice. Comp Cams made the cam, they know what it needs to work properly. Why guess when they already have the answer? Call them.
I will call comp cams as soon as I can.
When I'll have my heads to the shop I will ask for a multi angle valve job, I have 1.65/2.07Ferrea race valves.
Some people say to remove the little bumps in the exhaust ports and some other people say not to remove...

I called comp cams and they couldnt tell me if the 4bbl vlalve springs could match a 268H cam, I talked with an old man and he told me to use comp 940 springs or other springs with same pressure...
I will ask my parts guy to ship me 940-16 comp spings instead of 4bbl springs. I'm still waiting for the invoice... I buy a lot of my stuff from hd_mad_dog (Maddog racing and fastengineparts) on eBay.
