Please Help!!!! Ball Joints

Hello all, i need some of your expert advice
ill tell u about my truck
1995 F.150 extened cab 5.0 eddie bauer 3.55 posi 8.8 rear push button 4x4 with warn manual locking hubs

My driver side ball joints are getting bad, i got a haynes manual, and it says i got to take the axle shaft out, now i know i got to take brakes bearings out , but what will i have to replace if i have to take axle out, and will i need to repack the bearings please help or give me some detail if u have any expirience
anything at all would be usefull

I would clean and re-pack the wheel bearings as long as it is apart. A new seal as well. How are the brakes? It's all apart right now......................Axle U-joint? Check it all out.

i just did the brakes yesturday, i was gonna do the ball joints, but when i read ythe haynes, i decided id ask around 1st

ball joints need persuasion. Get the big hammers and a two or three jointed puller is worth it's weight in gold.

make sure when puting the axle shaft back into the axle lightly grease the shaft where the seal rides so you don't kill the seal. and when puting it back in don't use to much force use finesse so once again you don't hurt the seal you'll be kicking yourself if you ruin the seal.
