Question carb cleaner
i am going to rebuild a holley 600 carb,what is a good cleaner to let the parts soak in,its been in storage on the shelf not covered.

naptha,kerosene,diesel,gas, denatued alcohal or lye like super clean industrial degrease. then rinse with clean water and dry with compressed air.

if you've got time, paint thinner works in a couple days. Make sure that you get all the seals out if you use any of this stuff though.

Carb cleaner or brake parts cleaner works the best.

yeah that stuff burns through everything, but it's also the most expensive.
