I'm having a really wierd problem on my '89 f150 (i6) w/ dual tanks. I was getting crossfeed from the rear tank to the front so i installed the OEM checkvalves indicated in the recall to fix the issue. But now, when I change tanks, i cant get enough psi to open the fuel path through the new OEM selector valve. Whats even worse is that i cant put it back on the previous tank, and get fuel flowing again. its almost like the newly installed checkvalves take all my psi away and then im just dead in the water..any help? By the way, each check valve was installed in each supply line at each tank. Because of the way they are made, you really can't put them in wrong. The selector VALVE is new OEM as well as the rear sending Unit and pump. I'm really thinking there is WAY too much resistence in the checkvalves.

Ok I've been reading and get the picture. I need this valve. Any ideas on where I can find one ? I have tried Autobones site and called a few others and they don't even know what it is. I have a 86 F150 W/ carbed 302.
I had the same problem with my 88 f250 front tank was overfilling and flowing out the cap. Changed out this Dual Functioning Reservoir and problem solved. I had to order it at the Dealer, they didnt even stock it. Not hard to change.
I was afraid of that, I wonder if someone here has a work around.
Do you have two fuel tanks in the Bronco?
If not what you are looking at on the Bronco is just a fuel filter and I was under the impression that they started putting these on in 1987 FI Trucks.
It used to be EFI but was converted over,I guess I should have mentioned that. I got the part today $20.00 at the junk yard. Thanks for everyones help.
