Had rice for dinner...
Hangin' out with a long time friend of mine this evening. About ten o' clock, we went to get gas, headed back to his house, get stuck at a red light. So I'm sitting there and this red Civic hatchback comes flying up next to me and stops in the middle lane, I'm in the right.
All I can hear is the "boom boom" of a sub going off, so I turn my amped radio up, and voila, no more boom. My friend is lookin' at me and goes "you think this guy wants to race?" so I'm like "I guess we'll see." Sit there, foot hovering on gas pedal, left leg ready to pop the clutch. He starts easing up right before the light turns, it flips, and bam, he's behind me. I hear that thing SCREAMIN' to catch up. Only ran up to about 4000 RPM, tossed it into second, clutch off, off we go again, still way ahead and gaining distance. He must have redlined it, heard that tin can shift into second, falling further and further, then sound cuts out. I went into third, fourth, then OD and happily down the road.
I know it was nothing. Truck with 4.0L whips Civic with what, a 1.5L? It was fun though to watch him try, I wish I could have actually had a challenge.
Oh well, ya'll have a good night, see ya all later. Take it easy.
Zach

The only thing I hate even close to how much I hate hondas are chevys. Namely the one that lives righ behind me. An S-10, four cylinder automatic. He drives fast, no exaust, so it sounds like a TO'd bumble bee, he has 1-15" sub, and he did his tint job himself. Yuck. Btw, he can't hang.
One of my funniest racing stories, beat my friend's S-10 in a 1992 GMC Sierra with a 5.7L V8 and a little over 215K on the clock. Didn't know that thing would go like that lol, damn that pedal goes a long way down.
Have also smoked numerous ricers and others (Hemis...) in my grandmother's GMC Yukon GT. Fun little truck to drive.
