E4OD Question

I have a 97 F-350 with the 7.3 my question is when I put the truck in reverse I get a whine first thing in the morning. I have changed the fluid and replace the filter, also back flushed the coolers. Any suggestions would be appreciated, hopefully I do not have to replace tranny.

May not be anything wrong with it. Try letting it warm up a little longer in the morning. Tranny's don't like cold, thick fluid any more than engines do.

As long as the forward gears are ok I would not worry about it.

Sweet thanks for the info. I noticed I have a slight drip coming from the cover plate where the Torque Converter is I do have a drain bolt how tight are you supposed to tighten the drain bolt and shoud I have used some sort of thread sealant before I put it back in.
