changed the ride

Hunting season is over(skunked again ) so I took off the Goodyear MT/R's and put the Contis back on. What a change. Sharp responsive turning, smooth and quiet. Like riding in a Lincoln. Seems like it is faster now too.

I probably put 3000 miles on the Goodyears. I noticed that the sharp edegs of the lugs are smooth and rounded. They don't look "new" anymore. There are some small chunks missing here and there too. Must have been the rocks Elk hunting.

Don't feel bad, I was only 50% successful hunting this year.
1 Deer and 0 Elk. I heard the Toyo tires ride really well.

Your the first person to say the Conti's ride good.
Are you doing burnouts after those elk or what !
I just put a set of Cooper ATR's on mine so far so good.I plow snow so will see
My friend owns the tire place, said if I didn't like them he'd put something else on

I've heard that the MT/R's do wear quickly. But are you sure you had them aired up right? It sounds like the tires might have needed more air so the edges do not wear so quickly. Anyway...just a thought...

I had them to 65psi, max. Had a pretty good load with the trailer and supplies. The fronts were worn more, prolly from turning.

Well I don't know that I "like" them, but they do seem to ride well enough on the highway. And with some of the other threads about steeing vibration due to out of balance tires, maybe the Contis are better than we give them credit for....
