stripped threads...

I just recently installed a new intake mainfold on my 360 but the gaskets slipped and I had to take it off and re-do everything. When I was re-installing the intake again, I was tightening the first bolt on the driver side part of the intake and i felt it slip when it was almost tight, when I took the bolt out it looked like it was fine, so i think it stripped inside the bolt hole, so if I'm right about that, my question is, How would I go about fixing my problem with out having to do any major work? I am selling the truck, unfortunentally, so a quick fix would be ideal, thanks for your help.

I quick jimmy rig, would be to just use some JBWeld. However, you couldn't get it tight, once dried, and honestly you prolly don't wanna give the next guys this headache.

I think your best bet is to pull the intake re-drill to the tap size that the helicoil needs.

Yeah that would definitly really suck for the next guy, I don't want to do anything that will be a major problem for him.

Just a quick thought if it needs to be a really quick fix. Maybe try a metric size bolt. It might have just enough to hold and let the next guy know. The only issue might be the bolt fitting through the intake hole. I've used this fix on a few things. All depends on how worn the threads are and if you can get a snug enought fit torque wise. Just a thought anyway before the helicoil.
