I am getting an exhaust system for Xmas...and I am having a hard time deciding between a couple Flowmaster series.
I would love a 40-Series...but the local law does not like very loud exhausts around here. My friend has been pulled over a couple of times for having just a 24" (?) Thrush glasspack on his 4-banger.
My question(s) is/are: Is there a huge difference in the volume difference between the 40 and 50 series? Is the 40 Delta Flow quieter or louder than the Origional 40? What about the 50 Delta flow?
I dont care about interior resonance.

The 40 Series is louder than the 50 series considerably. It all depends what kind of engine you have and the setup. This all makes the truck louder. If you have the stock catalytic convertor on there it will not be very loud.
