Monday I came across 250 miles of closed highways with a 3 horse slant gooseneck with living quarters. Worst rodes I've ever been on, wouldn't have thought about doing it in anything but my stroker.
i drove to dad's in the storm on thanksgiving day... cars and trucks off the road everywhere..! i was passing a minivan on the highway and the lady driving it lost control and swerved partway into my lane...! i went halfway into the breakdown lane to avoid her..! good thing i was in 4x4 because the road had not been plowed, and i slid sideways for aways before i got her collected and back in the lane...! i wasn't worried for a minute, but my wife left some white nuckle prints in my dash...! it goes without saying that I HATE MINIVANS...!
I took my 4x4 PSD up in the Sierra's last winter and got it stuck in the back country. Needless to say, I did'nt have chains or a shovel! The wife and I ended up hike'n out for 4 miles until our cell phone worked and called a friend to pick us up. The next day I bought 2 sets of chains (one for my friend that was going to help me out with his 4x4 PSD) and shovels. It took a couple of hours, but we got her out. The wife's not too enthusiastic when I ask her to go 4-wheel'n again??? I was wondering about putting the chains on the front wheels, anyone try this?
