Hey, I drive a 2001 F-150 XLT 2x4 with out fog lights. I of course want to add them on though. I do not have the harness already installed. I went to some local dealerships and they quoted my around $500 for the fog light kit. But from searching online I have found that I can get individual parts for cheaper. The only thing I cannot find is the wire harness for the fog lights.
I plan on using the regular Ford fog lights not aftermarket. I want to be able to install the Ford light switch too. So my question is, is there a harness that is just for the fog lights that I can purchase, and if so where?
Are you positive there are no wires hanging down under the front? Most people on here have found wires for the foglamps up front. I think they also have found the relay spot in the underhood box for the relay. I do not know how they dealt with the switch wiring though. Maybe it was just a short harness under the dash.
If the dealership can't help you with the harness, I would run my own. You can get the wiring and the relay from Walmart. They have a kit.
