thanks to all that have answered my question on the glow plug relay. I will be replacing it tonight and plan on disconnecting the positive cables from the battery before installing the relay. I do however have the diablo predator tuner installed with the tow safe program. Will I need to reinstall the factory tune before I disconect the battery cables?
Thanks to all once again!
Have you tested your relay? I'm having a problem with my glow plug system and found out it's not getting a ground from the PCM. I'll have to chase out the wire and make sure all connections are good. I might just add a push button switch and control the relay that way.

Just to be safe you could re-install the original backup file which will reset the Predator, do your work, and then reload the tune of choice. With the tool reset there will be no chance of any issues in the future.

Just take off the heavy guage hot lead(with rubber boot) and tape it with electrical tape...then pull the rest of the wires and tape if u want but i do believe none are hot. Check with voltmeter. Then pull solenoid... real easy.
I also took a large towel rag and covered the area around the AIH solenoid...extra insurance...bing...bang...boom...done.
