powertrax driveability
Hey out there...I have a 72 CS with an open rear. I have read lots of good things about the Powertrax no-slip units as far as quality and ease of installation, but nothing about performance. Has anybody driven a truck so equipped? Are they noisey, how about cornering? I'd love to get a review from someone who's not trying to sell me one. Also, I believe I have a Dana 60 but I'm not sure how to positively identify it. There is a ID plate with lots of numbers, but nothing that I can interpret. Clue me in..........Chris

I bought one and had no complaints with the lockability issue, but ABSOLUTELY hated the amount of "slap" it put in my drivetrain. I had it in a 9 inch rearend, but took it out and sold it. The loud cluck when you let off the gas was more than i could stand, but it did go great. Didn't need 4 wheel drive anymore

Call Drive Train Direct they have both the Dana Spicer Power Lok and the Trac Lok----the power lok is the stronger of the two and is the most expensive-----about 500 for the dana 60---30 spline---the power lok is NOT widely available as is the Trac Lok---Both work very well---good luck , fd
