wirng problems
howzit guys,
okay, problems are starting to pop up with wiring on my '79 f-150. i have a new battery, new alt, new regulator. was driving to work this morning, the headlights were really dim, my guages (aftermarket) were all off rpm's were reading 5,000, oil pressure was 25, volts were 0. i rev it up and no change, i turned on my wipers to clean the window and the cd player shuts off, when i turn off the wipers stereo comes back on. i notice a little later that i have no turn signal, no brake lights. i hate electrical! can you guys tell me where to start, what to check first, what could be the cause?

As a pre check and inspection, check the following.
- Check the alternator belt.
- Check the battery connection at the starter solenoid and battery.
- Check the negative ground cable at the engine, make sure it is making good clean contact.
- Check for proper connections at the Voltage Regulator (VR) and at the back of the Alternator (Alt.). Check for any crack or loose wires.
- Check the fusable links from the starter solenoid to the alternator.
