A few Questions
this might seem stupid but i was wondering. the emergancy brake on my 78 has never been used so im figuring it doesn't work. the truck is an automatic. do u guys thihnk i should fix it so it works or just leave it alone?
The other question i have is about the windshild washer motor thing( can't remember what it's called but it pumps the fluid so it squirts out onto the windshild) doesn't work anymore. i recently drove out to my other garage to go satrt my truck, and for the fun of it i wanted to see if it froze. but now it doesn't work. is it maybe the pump it self or did it freeze?
Sorry for the stupid questions guys. not really good with electrical stuff
Joseph
The pump is mounted in the bottom of the plastic, fluid container.
Maybe have someone activate the washer while you feel down at the pump for a whirrrrrrrrr.

EDIT:
Re the E Brake:
I would fix it and use it as much as you can when parking.
You never know when you will need.
When/If the Brakes fail,it's nice to have a back-up system.

As for the pump, first you need to use a test light or a meter to see if there is power to the pump when you apply the button. You can unplug the wire at the pump and clean the contacts to make sure they are in working order. If that doesn't get you going, you can buy a new pump at the parts house, or buy the complete bucket and pump at the salvage yard.
